| June, 2004 Summer is here, now plan for Fall For most consultants and small businesses, summer means a slow down in business. For those of us who feel that we didn't have enough time to devote to low priority activities, the summer is a great time accomplish those tasks. This is especially the time of year to market your business. Your competition will be taking the summer off, why not make a big push to those clients you want to do business with.  You can now get to some of those items that you weren't able to when you were working on client projects.Here are a few tips on some things you can do that will help bring more work in and let you concentrate on your clients when they come back from vacation. Update your Web site This is something we all need to do. If you have added new services or products or you want to change something in the content, do it now. If anything it will freshen up the content which is always important. Send out email campaigns, post cards or both. It's important to stay in touch with and visible to your clients. Administration Maybe it's time to clean your desk, go through old magazines or update your Quickbooks. Get out of town! There's a reason summer is slow. People go on vacation.
